The giving tree by Shal Silvestain
Once there was a tree... and she loved a little boy. And every day the boy would come and he would gather her leaves and make them into crowns and play. He would climb up her trunk and swing from her branches and eat apples. And they would play hide-and-go-seek. And when he was tired he would sleep in her shade. And the boy loved the tree...very much. And tree was happy.
But time went by. And the boy grew older. And the tree was often alone. Then one day the boy came to the tree and the tree said: "Come boy, come and climb up my trunk and swing from my branches and eat apples and play in my shade and be happy". "I am too big to climb and play", said the boy I want to buy things and have fun. I want some money. Can you give me some money?" "I am sorry",said the tree,"but I have no money.I have only leaves and apples.Take my apples boy,and sell them in the city. Then you will have money and you will be happy." And so the boy climbed up the tree and gathered her apples and .carried them away. And the tree was happy.

Little Red Riding Hood
Once upon a time there was a woodcutter's daughter ,who used to go around on a light blue ten-speed mountain bike. Her name was Daisy, but she was called Little Red Riding Hood because of lovely bright red PVC cloack with a hood that she used to wear whenever it rained heavily.
Daisy used to go and visit her dear old grandmother who lived alone in a tiny white cottage with a thatched roof in the middle of a great big fine forest.
One rainy day as she was cycling guidly through the forest carrying a plastic bag full of home-made cakes and alcohole free beer for her grandmother,Daisy crashed into a huge brown wolf that was just crossing the path. She thought the wolf was a funny looking dog so she wasn't at all afraid.
She apologized to it profusely got back on her bike and was just about to cycle off again when it suddenly spoke to her :"Where are you going in such a hurry?", it said."I'm just going to see my grandmother because she lives by herself not far from here"replied Daisy.
" Oh, how nice",said the wolf in a friendly way."Have a good time and try and cycle a bit more carefully.See you"And off it went.Daisy carried on slowly singing quietly to herself and getting off bike frequently to pick flowers or look for edible mushrooms.
Finally she arrived at her grandmother's cottage and knocked at the door.
"Come in, dear" called out a rather strange voice. Daisy went in "Where are you, Gran", she shouted loudly. "In bed, dear" Daisy went into the bedroom. It was very dark inside. All the curtains were drawn. She could only just see the shape of her grandmother in the wide four-posted bed. "Your voice sounds funny, Gran", she said."I've got a slight cold, dear", "That's why I'm in bed. I don't feel very well". "Oh poor, Gran. I've brought you some cakes and beer. They'll make you feel better". "How kind of your, dear; Come and sit next to me and tell me about all the interesting things you've been doing ". Daisy went and sat on the bed, and took her grandmother's hand. It was all furry. "Do you like my new gloves, dear? ", said the low hunsy voice. "My hands were a bit cold". Daisy touched her grandmother's cheek. That was furry too. "What's the matter with your face,Gran?" she exclaimed alarmed. "I haven't had time to shave properly today, dear" said the voice. I'll do it after dinner. And at that the wolf suddenly leaped out of bed, grabbled Daisy violent and gobbled her up greedily. What a terrible thing to happen. Anyway, the wicked wolf was really axhausted after eating so much so fast (he has already eaten grandmother, you see). So he lay down thankfully on the bed and fell into a deep sleep..

Ali Baba and forty robbers.
Long ago in a certain city there lived two brothers. Kasim, the elder, married a rich disagreeable wife and with the money she brought him set up a shop in the market. He was a hard, shrewd, grasping fellow and got very fat for he made a good living. But he loved himself so dearly that nobody loved him except his younger brother Ali Baba. Luckily,he and his wife had no children. So much for the fat Kasim.
Ali Baba who earned a poor living as a woodcutter was very different. He married a good girl with no money but a kind heart.Allah blessed them with a son whom they named Ahmad. But they had no daughter, so they managed to buy a baby- girl whom they named Morgiana. The good woodcutter and his wife grew to love this Morgiana and brought her up more like a daughter than a slave.Though indeed as soon as she was big enough, she was so willing and clever that she did a great deal of work for them.Ali Baba, too, worked hard and though at first he was so poor that he had to carry his loads of wood on his back all the way down from the hills and into the market. The time came when he could afford to buy a donkey, and after a time two more. But all this while ,when even a small loan of money would have been most welcome he got no hole from his fat selfish brother. This unbrotherly conduct of Kasim's was all the worse ,because they lived quite near to each other,so that Kasim and his wife knew perfectly well that while ,for instance, they were saving up for money to buy another donkey,Ali Baba and his family were often hard put to it to get enouph to eat.
One day Ali Baba was cutting wood in the part of the forest where some great rocks marked the foot of the mountains. And while he worked ,his three donkeys grazed nearby. His axe rang out loudly among the trees, but pausing for a moment, he heard in what should have been the silence of that lonely place another sound.
Listening intently ,he decided that it was the sound of galloping horses. But he was afraid ,for he knew that such a sound in such a place boded no good either to him or to his precious donkeys. So he quickly led the beasts off and tied them up where the thick undergrowth hid them. And praying to Allah that none of them would bray and so betray their hiding place ,Ali Baba ,who had peceable nature ,climbed up into a tree that stood on a little hill and gave a good view of the rocks .Not a moment too soon the galloping noise grew louder and then a band of wicked looking horsemen, each heavily armed with daggers and scimitars ,swept into sight. They had dirty faces.Their great black beards were as coarse as the britle of pigs and were parted in the middle in such a way that they looked like ...
