Akinfy Demidov was the owner of 25 plants in Urals and Altay regions. Akinfy Demidov founded the plant on the Revda River at the beginning of the 18th century to be more exact the 1st of September 1734. That is the date when town of Revda was founded as well. Akinfy Demidov’s fortune was parted (the process was going on for 13 years). His son Grigory inherited Revda plants. Grigory managed to make manufacturing more efficient. Plants produced much goods of a very high quality. They were as good as in Nizhny Tagil.
